Frosty on my head! (Purchase from Youcute)

I promised that I would follow up with my purchase from Priscilla's Etsy store Youcute, which has food headbands, flower headbands, bun covers, and more for sale! (See my previous blog post about her store HERE)

My package came in today, and it absolutely made my day when I got it. The packaging was so lovely! Inside the initial box, which had a cute Youcute sticker on it, was a pink bakery box, a lovely thank you card, and even a little extra surprise!

Cute!

Ta-dahhhhh! <3
Inside the bakery box was Mr. Frosty Cone himself, wrapped inside a baggy tied with twine. :)

Peek-a-boo!

He's a cutie!
How adorable! He looks even better in real life. :)

His size compared to a water bottle
The headband itself is made of nylon, so don't spray it with hairspray! I don't really wear headbands or actually do much with my hair. I don't think I've owned a nylon hairband before today. o.o So to say the least, it took me struggling a while (10-15 minutes LOL) to get it on right. Hey, I'm not perfect.

Lei fails at putting on headbands.
Well all in all, Youcute has made me a very happy and satisfied customer! Youcute items are high quality and absolutely adorable!! :D The overall transaction was perfect. My item was shipped out a day after my purchase (May 27th) and arrived here today (May 31st). If post offices didn't close for Memorial Day, it probably would have been here yesterday. As you can see, the packaging was beautiful, and my item was very well-made! I'm very happy; everything was flawless! :)

Everyone needs to check out this awesome Etsy store. You won't be disappointed!!

The Find - Youcute Food Headbands on Etsy

I have a weakness for cute things, like penguins, babies... food with faces. I dunno if it's an Asian thing or something, but I think food with little faces on them is the cutest thing ever.

D'awwwwwwwwww

I've recently developed an obsession with WEARING food. For example, I have a sushi scarf from Twinkie Chan's Yummy You collection, and I've been eye-ing a bunch of food-related wear on Etsy in the form of rings, bracelets, etc.

So on one Etsy search, I found Priscilla's Etsy store. She had a store full of cute, crocheted goodness, like bun covers, bows, and headbands, including food headbands. And these foods aren't just normal food. They have cute faces on them. I think I can say that they are the cutest things I've seen on Etsy! She has headbands with slices of pie, ice cream, hamburgers, donuts, cupcakes, eggs and bacon, even tea cups! These goodies are all sewn onto a nylon headband, so you can wear adorable food on your head. :)

And yes. I am one of those people who would and will wear food on her head. :D

Some of my favorites from youcute:

Blue Teacup.
I love this and want it so bad!!! I absolutely love the detail that was put into this, like the little tea bag and the cookies on the side. It's really obvious that a lot of time and love went into making this tea cup. :) There are also teacups available in yellow, pink, and violet!

Donut with Pink Frosting
Ahhhhhh so cute! I really want a donut just like this with chocolate icing!

Latte or Cup of Hot Cocoa
This would be the most perfect thing ever if I got hired at Starbucks...

Pancakes with Syrup and Butter
Omg the cuteness. This was the first one that I fell in love with.
Cheeseburger
I freaking love burgers. And this is the cutest one I've seen.

Key Lime Pie
A slice of pie on my head? Heck yes.
Cherry Pie A La Mode
I love how the cherries are sticking out. All the youcute headbands are really distinct!
Melting Fudgsicle
Too cute and funny. I love it.

Ok, so when I was writing this, I wanted to have maybe 3 or 4 pictures at the most. But I love the youcute stuff so much I couldn't resist not sharing more. :)

There are also bun covers, bows, and baby headbands available for purchase:

Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Bun Cover

Pepperoni Pizza Baby Headband

Orange and Cream Striped Bow
I made one purchase; it's on the way in the mail, and I'm super excited to wear it!

Soft-Serve Vanilla Frosty
So adorable! It'll go well with what I normally wear too. :)

I'll make a new post when my frosty cone comes in! :D All in all, definitely check out the youcute Etsy store if you love cute things like I do and am a major foodie! You guys will not be disappointed! I hope Priscilla never ever stops making these cute little treasures. :) I totally need a job so I can afford to buy more things from here in the future!!

Lush's Lust Perfume Review

What Lush says:

It's a very heady perfume that's not for the shy and retiring. It starts off as strong, pure jasmine and warms on the skin to a seductive floral scent. It lasts for hours and hours. Unlike some other things we could mention. Mark firmly believes that the problem with jasmine fragrances is the temptation to dress them up in a frock and take away the power. With Lust, he went all the way and created a powerfully sensual, dirty jasmine perfume that stirs a primal yearning.

Main notes of....Jasmine, ylang ylang, rose, vanilla, sandalwood

Ingredients:
DRF Alcohol, Perfume, Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum grandiflorum), Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), Rose Absolute (Rosa damascena), Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), Sandalwood Oil (Santalum austro-caledonicum vieill), *Benzyl Alcohol, *Benzyl Salicylate, *Citral, *Eugenol, *Geraniol, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Citronellol, *Farnesol, *Limonene, *Linalool

My Review:

So my local Lush is pretty fantastically awesome. I actually won this bottle of Lust in a drawing a few months ago. :)

The bottle is small, but the scent is very strong and concentrated, so you really need only one or two spritzes of this to last all night, which is great because it means this perfume will definitely last you a while. Be careful though, because it's super easy to go overboard and use too much. Also, because the main perfume is alcohol, it will sting your nose if you inhale a lot of it when you spray. I think this is normal for most perfumes though.

The scent is really described quite well in what Lush says. The jasmine is really strong and what really stands out in the perfume, so DO NOT get this if you aren't a fan of jasmine. For Lush fans, if you've tried Youki-Hi, Flying Fox, or Godiva, Lust smells close to those. I imagine if you layered Godiva and Flying Fox with Lust, you'd smell like a garden of jasmine.

The jasmine in Lust does mellow out eventually to a more woody, earthy scent, but the jasmine note will still be there. Lush says there's vanilla in there too, but I can only smell the vanilla faintly. It's funny; Lust to me smells a lot like tea. I think it's because I'm Chinese, and Chinese use jasmine in a lot of teas, so yeah... XD

I'd recommend Lust to everyone who's a fan of jasmine. It's a nice, really feminine, and ultimately a sexy perfume, and the price isn't so bad for the staying power and strength of Gorilla perfumes.

All in all, Kelly's shop is filled with fun and cute things for fans of games and well... cute stuff. :) Definitely check it out if you're a fan of either! I'll update with a post about the stuff I ordered soon!

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Rose - Review

What Burt's Bees says:
Care for your lips with beautiful, sheer color. Our new tinted balms give you a hint of color with a soft, sweet flavor and natural ingredients that moisturize and condition your lips. Available in six flirty shades – Hibiscus, Honeysuckle, Tiger Lily, Pink Blossom, Red Dahlia and Rose.

Ingredients:
cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, olus (vegetable oil, huile vegetale), cera alba (beeswax, cire d'abeille), olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, candelilla cera (euphorbia cerifera wax, cire de candelilla), helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, aroma (flavor)*, lanolin, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, cananga odorata flower wax, jasminum officinale (jasmine) flower wax, ammonium glycyrrhizinate, tocopherol, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, glycine soja (soybean) oil, canola oil (huile de colza). May contain: alumina, CI 77891 (titanium dioxide), CI 75470 (carmine), CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 (iron oxides). *natural flavor

My review:
I've had a long history with Burt's Bees products. For the longest time, I used their pepperminty lip balm as my primary lip balm. I think I went through five of those before I decided to switch things up and started trying out different brands. Now, I've gone back to using Burt's Bees again after their tinted lip balms caught my eye at Sears. Why? They come in these huge tubes that make it seem like you're getting a large stick, but it's really just the same size as their normal lip balms.

The color of the tube is kind of... intimidating. It's a deep red color and a lot darker than what actually goes on your lips.

Before

After

This balm goes on really nice and smoothly. It's definitely a balm in that it moisturizes super well. The color is light, but nice and subtle, plus it looks very natural. If you're looking for pure color, go with a lipstick; all tinted lip balms tend to be lighter than lipstick. That being said, I will stick to this for everyday wear. My lips are naturally dry, so wearing lipstick just dries them out more. :/ Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm is great for natural color while keeping your lips nice and moisturized. Also a big plus... They are 100% natural!
